Weights for largemouth bass fishing
Choose the weight by rig, depth and cover. A bullet weight works with Texas or Carolina rigs and passes through vegetation easily; a drop-shot sinker holds the lure off the bottom and often has a clip for adjusting the distance. Nail weights fit inside soft plastics for Neko rigs and other presentations, while split shot adds small amounts of weight to the line.
Compare weight, shape, material and attachment system. A narrow profile moves through obstacles more easily; a wide one transmits bottom contact differently. The load controls fall rate and depth, but it does not by itself turn a floating soft plastic into another type of lure. Check that the sinker does not damage the line and stays within the rod's casting range.
