The lure body should sit straight and leave enough room for a solid hookset. A weighted version changes the fall rate and depth compared with the same size unweighted, though the result also depends on line and rig bulk. Check units and finish on each product page. Before casting, check the point, eye and weight attachment; replace any hook that's bent, rusted or dull.
