Rod Sleeves for bass rods

The sleeve must match the rod's transport length and number of sections. Check whether it takes the rod with the reel attached, how much room it leaves around the guides and whether it includes dividers. A padded sleeve protects against ordinary knocks; a hard case offers more resistance to pressure during travel or storage.

Check the internal length, width around the reel, zips, handles and shoulder strap. When carrying several rods, separate compartments prevent blanks and guides from rubbing together. Tip covers and rod straps are useful for short walks, but they do not provide the same protection as a full-length sleeve.
